Black Serpent Submission Guidelines

Black Serpent, a free *.PDF Demonolatry e-zine, is currently seeking contributors for the 2010 Issue(s) of the magazine.

All accepted contributions are PAID upon PUBLICATION via Paypal ONLY as follows:

Regular columns: $10 per month
Reviews: $2.00 each (includes Movie/Music/Book)
Games: $5 per game (includes wordsearches, crosswords etc...)
Rituals: $10 each
Prayers: $5 each
Articles: $.01 cent per word. That means if the article is 1500 words - you make $15.00.
Artwork: $10 per accepted image.

If you do not have PayPal - we cannot pay you.

Our contributors ALSO receive bylines and do have the option of a bio with their contribution, and/or they can have free advertising for their website, business, or products for the issue their article is in.

By submitting material, contributors are giving Black Serpent the right to publish the contribution one time in the issue of the magazine specified. Contributors retain all rights to their contributions. Reprints are welcome and still eligible for payment.

First 2010 Deadline: February 20, 2010.

-Humor
-How-to
-Personal Experience Essays
-Daemons
-Demonolatry/Theistic Satanism Parenting articles.
-The Demonolatry/Satanic "Church"
-Self created rituals.
-Any other articles demonolatry/satanic bent or with regard to worship, offerings, spiritually creative ideas, prayer, ritual, etc...
-Book excerpts for forthcoming related NF or Fiction

Creative material we're interested in (created by Demonolators, Theistic Satanists, Luciferians, Darker Poly/Pantheists ONLY):
-Fiction – Any length or genre (.01 cent per word still applies). Longer than 10,000 words will be serialized.
-Poetry – Any length or genre.
-Artwork – Electronic only.

Regular Contributors Needed For:
-Book Reviews
-Crossword Puzzles/Other Games
- Columnists

The editor reserves the right to pick and choose which contributions we will publish. This means that not everything submitted will be accepted (especially if extensive editing and rewriting is required), but we will do our best to give a voice to as many Demonolators and Theistic Satanists as possible.

PAYMENT IS MADE UPON PUBLICATION AND VIA PAYPAL ONLY! This means that until we go to print - no one gets paid.

Your best bet to have an article accepted is to make sure you've ran a spell check. Read it aloud to see if it sounds okay. Let another person read it and try to find any errors. Make sure your writing is tight (i.e. shorten unnecessarily long sentences).

If you want to write anything listed above - write it and send it. Or feel free to write me at blackserpentmagazine@gmail.com to see if we're interested (if you don't want to waste the time writing it first on the off chance we may not be interested).

Do not write me (the editor) to tell me you MIGHT submit something, or that you want to submit something but don't know what. Either submit or get off the pot!

I review and print articles. I am not a cheerleading squad, your critique group, and I'm not going to hold your hand every step of the writing process. This is a real magazine. We do things the old fashioned way. You write it - we tell you if we're buying it and printing it -- or not.

*While the PDF version is free, print versions and e-versions via Lulu WILL cost an additional $2.50 per copy to help pay our contributors.
